ok...mane nak mula yek? baeklah...cite pasal baju raye dulu. baju raye aku thn ni adalah baju raye yg same sejak dua kali raye yg lepas ni hah. sbbnye bdn aku dah x membesar same ade dr segi ktinggian mahupun kelebaran. so pakai je la baju melayu maroon ni (kaler maroon ni ex aku yg suggest dulu. dia kate aku seswai pakai kaler nih. ntah ye tidak la...huhu)

raye kali ni menggabungkan 3 family (family aku, family auntie fadhil n auntie tah). mak aku masak soto. auntie fadhil masak nasi beryani resepi keluarga turun temurun. auntie tah plak bawak arisa yg mama (maklong aku tp aku panggil dia mama sbb dia pnah jaga aku n abg aku time kitorg kecik dulu) kirimkan. arisa ni adalah sejenis makanan arab yg diperbuat drpd oat n ayam. dimakan dgn madu, sos cili n air perahan limau nipis. sedap! so raye ni mkn best gak la aku nih...hohoho...

time raye smlm, aku sempat ikut auntie fadhil g umah kwn dia.anak kwn dia ni (iqbal namanye) kwn aku gak sbb dia ni kwn kpd kazen aku. so kenal dia thru kazen aku tu la. kekadang time aku ikut lepak kat maple ngan kazen aku dia pun ade skali. ayahnye si iqbal ni (pakcik omar) adalah bekas motivator kat MAS. so bila dia sembang mmg best. tp dia x sembang kosong. xde hu ha hu ha x tentu pasal n xde isi. pd aku, dia ni alim gak la orgnye. last2 dia nye sembang tu dah jd cam tazkirah plak. huhu.

dia kata, "faiz, manusia ni kalo dia pemurah kat dunia, Allah akan jd lg pemurah pd dia kat akhirat nnt. tp kalo manusia eksen kat dunia ni tgk la Allah nye eksen kat akhirat nnt. so rezki yg Allah bg xyah kite sorok2 takut nak share ngan org sbb setiap yg kite beri Allah akan bagi blk berkali ganda. producer filem, david teoh pun amek iktibar dr ajaran islam ni. dia sendiri ngaku hakikat tu sbb tu bila filem dia untung sket dia sedekah n blanje org. tp producer melayu xde plak nak wat camtu. kekayaan n pangkat buatkan manusia mudah lupe n sombong. sbb tu Allah x jdkan sume manusia kaya. kalo x mmg sume org idup mewah je."

"ape malaikat kata?" aku geleng. "janji Allah tu benar n azab Dia mmg sgt pedih."

"ape Allah kata?" aku geleng lg. " doa la padaKu. mintak la padaKu. jgn la sombong sgt."

pastu dia pesan kat aku, "jd la org yg memberi manfaat kpd org di sekeliling kite. nnt dah jd engineer jgn tau wat bangunan pastu blk umah x peduli hal masyarakat. kite ni org islam kena hidup bmasyarakat. kena amek tau hal umat. kalo kite wat hal sendiri je Allah akan cabut islam dr tengkuk kite."

thread ni ade unsur2 keagamaan. harap mod lepaskan thread ni sbg peringatan sempena ramadhan ni. tq

sy rase isu solat ni jarang dibincangkan dalam forum2 sebegini (bukan forum2 keagamaan). sy lebih aktif dlm forum photomalaysia.com (PM). tp memandangkan kebanyakan ahli PM adalah dari kaum Cina yg sy kira bukan Muslim, maka sy rase lebih baik isu ni di bincangkan dlm forum ini sbb sy difahamkan kebanyakan ahli forum ni adalah Melayu. lebih2 lg skang ni bulan ramadhan. jd ade baiknye kite muhasabah skit diri kite masing2.

tak dinafikan bahawa bila kite keluar outing utk shoot, mmg kite layan abes la. sungguh2 nak dapatkan shot yg terbaik. tp kadang2 ade antara kite yg terlalu asyik sampai terlupa nak solat. waktu2 yg perlu kite bg perhatian ialah zohor,asar dan maghrib sbb kite kluar shoot time zohor, kadang kite selesai outing time maghrib. dan kebiasaannye asar akan 'terkorban' dan sememangnye waktu asar adalah salah satu waktu solat yg paling senang utk kite tlepas disebabkan ambil mudah atau sikap suka menangguh solat. waktu maghrib x usah cerita la. nak dpt sunset shot punye pasal maghrib pun burn.

sy penah keluar outing dgn kwn2 dan disebabkan x ade transport, sy terpakse la tumpang kereta diorang. bila dah tumpang kereta org, kena la ikut ke mane dia nak pergi. jd bila kwn2 tu x solat, kadang2 terpakse mintak berhenti kat stesen minyak utk buang air padahal sebenarnye nak pergi solat. nak ckp pun serba salah sbb takut ade yg kecik ati plak kang.

waktu TT pun same. kebiasaanye kite anjur TT time mlm. kadang2 ade antara kite yg mula gerak ke tempat TT lepas mghrib. jd solat isyak sepatutnye dlakukan lepas TT. tp kalo dah TT pun meleret sampai ke subuh ape citenye solat isyak td....adeh...

sy juga nak mengingatkan penganjur seminar/workshop/kursus/klinik fotografi supaya beri perhatian pd isu ni. sy pnah join satu workshop anjuran satu forum nih. tenaga pengajarnye org melayu. start kursus pukul 1pm (blm masuk zohor). abes kursus dah nak dekat pukul 8pm (dah maghrib). jd ke mane asar semua peserta dan juga si pengajar td? kalo ade antara antara peserta yg tergolong dlm kategori musafir maka mudah la skit sbb bleh jamak. siap bleh qasar lg. org tempatan la yg payah skit. skali lg...pengajar wat dono je. kalo pun dia tu mmg jenis x solat fardhu (solat raye ade la kot), kena btimbang rase skit la kat peserta2 kursus tu kan. nak sound pengajar pun rase x sedap la plak kan...jd lain kali pengajar kena take note la benda2 mcm ni.

sy nak bg satu contoh yg baik kat sini berkenaan sorg kaki kamera yg jaga pasal solat ni. x heran la sbb dia tu ustaz. tp ustaz pun manusia mcm kite sumea jugak kan. jd ustaz atau x bukan la isu kat sini. maybe ade yg kenal dia ni. dia guna nama samaran 'annamir' kat flickr. kalo kat PM dia guna nama samaran 'ayambrand'. bln jun lepas sy ade pegi ke Darul Quran (DQ), tempat dia mengajar utk shoot gamba sunset kat sane. sesape yg penah pegi DQ mesti tau DQ nye landscape mmg cantik. dgn masjid kat tepi tasiknye. dgn bukit bukat sbg latar blakang. mmg cantik la. sy, ustaz annamir dan ustaz buyie pun shoot la sunset. diorg ni mmg btul2 jenis yg semangat nak shoot. tambah pulak lg semangat nak ajar sy benda2 yg sy x tau. sy btul2 rase bterima kasih sgt kat diorg. tp yg sy nak highlight kat sini pasal solat. walaupun kami shoot sunset (waktu maghrib la kan), tp kami still sempat solat berjemaah. jd nak dapatkan shot sunset yg baik x memerlukan kite utk meninggalkan solat. solat tetap kena buat.

harap isu ni lebih dititikberatkan pd masa akan dtg. mari la kite mula jaga solat kite dr saat ni jugak. mulakan perubahan dr ramadhan ni. semoga contoh kejadian dpt dijadikan iktibar dan bukanlah niat sy utk mengguris hati sesape.

p/s: sy juga mengaku yg diri ni kurang keberanian utk tegur benda2 cani semasa kejadian berlaku. so ngan sy2 skali pun tpakse la tinngal solat sbb nak jaga ati. kalo org yg kuat iman mesti direct je tegur. so kelemahan sy ni mmg sy mengaku la yek. haih...

has anyone told you that you look older than your age?or maybe someone had called you 'pakcik/makcik'? well....i've gone through these situation quite a number of times. these are the list of 'the unfortuinate events' for me....haha...

1) when i was in form 5, a form 1 student asked a friend of mine (dia pun form 5 gak tp suka lepak ngan bbdk form 1)...

"abg fir, abg faiz tu tingkatan 6 ek?" that boy asked him.

"eh, sekolah kite mane ade bdk tingkatan 6." he explain.

then the boy asked again, "so dia repeat SPM la yek?"

sungguh baik kata-katamu itu wahai budak... down.....


2) it happens during the semester vacation on november 2008. i was working at Hotel Seri Malaysia Bagan Lalang to earn some money to fund for my nikon D80. this is the conversation with a colleague on my first day there.

"sebelum ni ko kerja kat mana?" she asked.

"saya x kerja, masih blaja lg, kat UIA," i told her.

"berape umur ko?" she asked sambil wat muka hairan.

"22," i replied.

"ooo...ingatkan 30. nampak matang. ye la kan, blaja tinggi2 tu yg wat nampak matang tu." she said.

blaja tinggi2 wat aku nampak matang. what the heck....hampeh btul...


3) one day when i was doing my intership, i went to a bank to deposit the cheque of my internship allowance. on the way to the bank, i walked pass two school girls (13-15 years old i think) who were asking for donation.

"derma utk anak yatim, pakcik..."

PAKCIK? i'm not even 10 years older than you are.

4) the latest one happens last week. i was riding a KTM commuter train to midvalley. a guy who sat next to me was trying to start a conversation.

"nama sape?" he asked.

"faiz," i answered and then he introduced himself, telling that he live in seremban but work in KL...blablabla...

"umur awak?" he asked. and i know what will happen next.

"oktober ni msk 23," i replied and he responded ,"ooo...ingatkan 25. sy pun nampak tua. awak rase umur sy brape?"

i dont really care about that but to be nice, i have to answer lah...."29?"

"27," he replied. then the train arrived at the midvalley station.

haih....

kuala lumpur photography festival

this is the first KLPF for me. i could not make it last year as i have another plan. so for this first time, i'm not going to be juz another visitor; i'm one of the volunteers at those booths. actually i was volunteering to be at the photomalaysia.com's (photomalaysia.com = PM) booth. that is the photography forum which i'm active the most. to my luck was a free PM t-shirt for the volunteers sponsored by khoking from shashinki...thanks boss=)....




it was a great feeling to be allowed to enter the exhibition hall before the visitors (as i was one of the committees lah)....hehe....but to be at the booth from 11am-9pm was not the best thing to do. luckily, the PM's booth was located at the corner of the exhibition hall, just at the entrance of the seminar room where all the free seminars were held. i had my time on two sessions of seminar; "my greek holiday" by azul adnan and "capturing memories of event" by sidney something (i dont remember lah...).

i was also lucky that our booth was near to a couple of booths that proveide model to be shot. well....of course i shoot them. pretty girls maaa....who dont want to shoot? hehe=p

she was not a model but very cute lah...hohoho (tumbuh tanduk)

i also get to try out the nikon D3x attached with nikkor 400mm f2.8. really huge and the performance is superb. the autofocus is really fast. the moment i shoot with them, "fuiyooo!" came out from my mouth. haha....so jakun lah...but what to do? first time maa...

it was a good thing to be a volunteer as i get to know more people especially the ones from PM. all these while i only know the during online. now i had the chance to meet them personally, chat with them and shake their hands. i was very happy. really.

im planning to be a volunteer again next year. but the next main event for PM is the PM photo exhibition. i'm looking forward to it=)

satu hari satu foto (episode 13)

photo taken during the pre wedding photo workshop by ahmad fairus. the mission was to get a silhouette of the couple. i got the spike or the star effect by using small aperture (f36 if i'm not mistaken) in aperture priority mode. but the silhoutte of trees behind of the couple are a bit distracting which make the couple almost unnoticeable.

IIUM Invitational Taekwondo Championship

15th IIUM invitational Taekwondo championship is around the corner (7-9 august 09). this year, like the previous years, i will not be the IIUM player. i'm the asst. director II for this event. so aku xkan mengalami kesibukan tahap cipan macam tahun lepas....relax sket...huahuahua...

and these are few moments yang aku still ingat sepanjang aku terlibat sebagai committee tourney sejak 2007:



1) saat kena lecture dengan team manager from university mane ntah. abg anep yg kena lecture sbenarnye tp aku pun ade kat situ. so ngan aku skali pun kena la...adeh... (2007)

2) help the PC committee members to setup the bout chart sampai ttido kitorg sume in that OR (female sport complex meeting room). aku and mukhsin tido bwh meja...huhu...(2007)

3) time jaga weigh-in machine for weigh-in inspection. time ni kitorg bajet sume peserta berpakaian sopan. so aku jd tukang tgk berat peserta while kak chumie record their weights. sampai peserta dari UITM timbang berat aku xtau nak pandang mane. yg laki tu aku x heran la. ni yg pompuan pun duk pakai baju adik dia and seluar plak juz pakai tight atas lutut. tak tenang aku dalam menjalankan tugas....haha...pastu aku suh kak chumie tuka tempat ngan aku n aku plak yg record berat diorg.haih...(2007)

4)time berserabut n tension wat keje game technical. subcom dah la 3 org je. siap kena marah2 ngan org lain lg.hampeh...bz gile babi la time tu. nasib baik ade yg sudi tlg...tq2....(2008)

5)time menokok tambah pada bout chart (setelah bout chart ditampal untuk tatapan umum) akibat error or update yg ttiba ade last minit. seperti biasa, bg advantage kat tuan rumah. ini telah membuatkan player dari universiti lain sume jadi x puas hati. sambil aku author bout chart tu bleh plak diorg mengata kat blakang aku. aku dgr pulak tu. diorg kata "ape pasal uia dapat bye je? xpe...xpe...nani kite wat tornament kite bg bye plak kat player2 kite" (2008)

6) time org tgh bg hadiah utk each category, aku n dila kelam kabut kira medal tally utk setiap university sbb nak tentukan overall champion. nasib baik sempat. n the best part was...the champion was IIUM....wohooo! congrats guys=) (2008)


so aku harap tahun ni punye tournament akan jd kenangan yg indah wat TKD members sume. ni mungkin kali terakhir aku jd committee utk IIUM taekwondo championship...huhu

it's the time to use the reminder and planner

i remember my old days (xde la dahulu kala sgt) in MCIIUM where i had been busy with so many programs. i am the president of MCIIUM taekwondo club and an FRC member then. lack in management skills caused me to forget some of the jobs which i had to do. then one of my committee members, a girl to be exact, told me in a very lemah-lembut way...(jgn mimpi la...kena marah kot...huhu),

"ape guna reminder kat henfon ko tu?".

then i thought, "betul gak yek".

and just after that i started to use the reminder.huhu

4 years had passed since those busy days and lately i found myself depends on this tool again. plus a new one, a planner which i had bought at koperasi uiam. why?am i that busy nowadays? frankly....no. but that day will come.

firstly because i'm doing my FYP this semester. so i need them to remind me for my appointment with my supervisor.

secondly, i've just got a potential customer for my wedding photographer service. thus they are essential for me. i had to entertain the customer since they say that 'customer is always right'. if they want to meet me at a particular place and time, so i have to be there at the promised time. and these tools will help me so that i will not forget....hopefully...

another usage, to remind me about any event, photo shoot outing, meeting someone to buy photography equipments and so on.

i hope everything will go well this semester. my studies, projects, hobbies, business,...bla...bla...bla...
